London: Police in the UK have warned the public not to approach a patient who ran away from a newsstand while on escorted leave from a secure hospital in Ealing, West London.

The man, identified by the Metropolitan Police as 26-year-old Mosa Jamal Abid, is believed to have entered Brent Lodge Park after fleeing the store in Uxbridge Road at around 3 p.m. on Monday. He wore a navy hooded jacket, black trousers and blue trainers when he was last observed.

He might approach nearby mosques at iftar in search of food, according to the police. They continued, "He also needs medication for a medical condition, so he might also go to a hospital for help."

Authorities claimed that they were informing local hospitals and mosques about the status of the manhunt. Abid was located with their assistance, but they issued a warning to the public not to approach him.

"I want to assure you that we have officers working round the clock to find Mosa and return him to hospital as quickly as possible," said Detective Inspector Alistair Stillgoe of the local policing team in west London.
