Bangalore: The Karnataka High Court has ordered the state government that loudspeakers should not be used anywhere between 10 pm and 6 am. This rule should be strictly followed and it is the job of the state government to ensure it. The High Court further said that this rule will also apply to religious places, pubs and restaurants etc.

High Court Chief Justice Ritu Raj Awasthi and Justice Ashok S. The Division Bench of Kinagi has ordered the authorities to launch a campaign and check the misuse of loudspeakers. Not only this, the court said that the system of addressing the public or the instruments of music should not be used unnecessarily. The High Court has said that the administration should take action against such people and submit a report within three weeks regarding the action taken.

The High Court has said that, 'Authorities are ordered to take necessary action. Do not misuse loudspeakers etc. No instrument should be played in the night between 10 am and 6 am at a sound higher than the fixed decibel. Earlier, during the hearing, one of the parties in the court said that some institutions and religious places were illegally granted permanent licenses by the administration so that they can use loudspeakers.
