Love at first sight: introspective indeed
Love at first sight: introspective indeed

Bollywood, the ultimate source of all the romance in our lives, seems to have over-exploited the concept of what you call "Love at First Sight".

Guy meets girl and immediately falls for her is what we've all grown up watching. To name a few, 'Main Tera Hero' counts amongst the latest releases to ruin your flavour of love.

Love, which has been considered as an undefined, unmatched and never completely discovered emotion, is balled down to its most casual forms.

Well, if that is love, how would you define infatuation then?

From the Sonnets of Shakespeare to the Dohas of Kabir, Literature defined love as the deepest and an emotion with varied dimensions, yet the simplest.

Love is a process, it is as gradual and natural. It involves discovering a soul, followed by acceptance. It is, what reinvents each soul that it touches.

The first step to love is attraction indeed, which progresses towards enduring moments that make memories and memories that complete you. Hence Infatuation is what often leads to love but is way more perfunctory when placed next to love.

Therefore, the first sight always talks about just the appearance of the moment and if you tend to adore it, even madly, it ain't love, rather Infatuation.

So, which way does it sound more honest, "Love at first sight" or "Infatuation at first sight"?

Do give it a thought.
