Indore: An engineer girl was allegedly raped in Madhya Pradesh's Indore district. The victim girl says that she became friends with the criminal on Instagram. Then friendship turned into love. Due to this, the criminal promised marriage and had physical relations. He later retracted the promise of marriage.

Following the complaint of the victim girl, the police arrested the culprit lover from Maharashtra. A complaint has been lodged in Indore's Vijay Nagar police station by the girl, a resident of Dewas. The victim said that due to being an engineer in Indore, she became friends with Shubham Deshmukh, a resident of Maharashtra, on the social platform Instagram. Then, the process of talking between the two started. Then the friendship turned into love. During this, Shubham came to Indore to meet me. He took me to a city hotel. He promised to marry me there and had physical relations with me.

The victim said that after the meeting, the boyfriend reneged on the promise of marriage and also stopped talking. Vijay Nagar police station in-charge Ravindra Gurjar said, "Following the complaint of the victim girl, we have arrested the culprit from Akola in Maharashtra." A case has been registered against him under other sections including rape. After being produced in court, the offender will be sent to jail.
