Thane: The dead body of a 20 to 25 years old girl was found on January 5 in Kasara of Thane district, adjacent to the country's financial capital Mumbai. Marks of multiple stab wounds were found on the body. After the killing, the dead body was thrown in the Kasara forest. Police probing the matter have arrested two criminals from Bhiwandi area.

The Kasara police found a mobile phone near the dead body of the girl, but the phone was locked. Police unlocked the mobile on January 5 with the help of cyber experts and the girl was identified. After being identified, the police checked the CCTVs installed on the Mumbai-Nashik-Agra highway. In the footage, a girl was seen going on a motorcycle with two boys. Kasara police had formed four teams to solve the mystery of the murder as soon as the important evidence was found. The call details of the girl were also extracted by the police. At the same time, the CCTV footage was also in the hands of the police. Based on the location of the numbers from which the calls were received, the police team reached Bhiwandi. Here they arrested Rizwan and his friend Arshad. 

After taking the same into custody, the police interrogated both of them and it was found that Rizwan and the girl were living in a live-in relationship in Bhiwandi for the last one year. However, there was a quarrel between the two for a few months. Rizwan told the police that fed up with the daily quarrels, he planned to kill the girl and included his friend Ashraf in his plan. Both of them told the police that we had taken her to the Karasa forest. Then there were several attacks on her body with sharp weapons. She died on the spot. Thereafter, we escaped from there.
