NEW DELHI: B- town renowned Actor Salman Khan has moved the Supreme Court alleging threats received for the movie 'Loveyatri', as the leading news agency ANI reported. Reports suggested that Chief Justice of India Dipak Misra has agreed to hear the matter later today.

Salman Khan approached the top court seeking its intervention following a hullabaloo that broke out over his production, 'LoveYatri', which is slated to hit the silver screen on October 5. However the film has been cleared by the Censor Board of Film Certification. Salman Khan is producing the film which landed into controversy after an FIR was registered in Bihar, and a criminal complaint in Gujarat.

Earlier The Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) had opposed the title "LoveRatri", as according to them this title fainted the meaning of the Hindu festival, Navratri. Ahead of VHP protests,  Salman Khan had changed the name from 'LoveRatri' to 'LoveYatri'.

Salman Khan took his Twitter handle and captioned his post to change the name as saying, “ This is not a spelling mistake... #loveyatri #lovetakesover...

@SKFilmsOfficial @aaysharma @Warina_Hussain @abhiraj21288 @TSeries.”

However, even after the change, another PIL was lodged in the Gujarat High Court by Sanatan Foundation which is a city-based Hindu outfit. The group stated the new title was 'unacceptable' and suggested the makers go with Love Ki Yatra, as First post reported.

LoveYatri marks the Bollywood debut of  Aayush Sharma and Warina Hussain. Aayush Sharma is the husband of Salman's sister Arpita Khan.
