Srinagar: The Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Manoj Sinha, on Saturday, June 3, attended the "Pratham Pooja" of Shri Amarnath through video conferencing. It is informed that the Amarnath pilgrimage will start on July 1.
"From July 1, pilgrims from across the nation will swarm to Amarnath's sacred cave sanctuary. August 30 marks the end of this yatra. The management is working to ensure the success of this yatra, according to J-K LG Sinha. The yearly journey to Amarnath's sacred cave sanctuary will start on July 1.
Earlier on May 26, while serving as the meeting's chair and discussing and evaluating the preparations for the forthcoming annual Amarnath Yatra, Deputy Commissioner of Samba, Abhishek Sharma, examined the security arrangements plan.
The 62-day yatra, which begin on July 1 and culminates on August 31, is an major pilgrimage for Hindus who visit the Amarnath Cave, believed to be the abode of Lord Shiva.
With Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha noting that the government's first focus is to give the best healthcare and necessary amenities to visitors and service providers, the administration has guaranteed a seamless and hassle-free yatra for all devotees.
The yatra would start simultaneously from Baltal in the Ganderbal district and the Pahalgam track in the Anantnag district, offering devotees the choice of which path best suited them.
For devotees all around the world, the Shri Amarnath Shrine Board (SASB) has also made morning and evening prayers live telecasts available.
