Lucknow: A fire broke out in a closed paan shop in Gola Bazar of Uttar Pradesh's capital Lucknow on Thursday (September 8) morning. After getting information, the shopkeeper and fire brigade reached the spot immediately. The fire was completely brought under control in about an hour. There was a stampede due to a fire in the middle market.
Shopkeepers next door also assisted in the rescue work. According to shopkeeper Vicky, goods worth lakhs of rupees have been damaged. The exact cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained. Cantt police and fire department are investigating. Vicky Yadav, a resident of Sadar, runs a shop in Gola Bazar by the name of Ramchandra Paan Bhandar. In his shop, Vicky works as a retailer and wholesale of pan masala and cold-drink etc. According to Vicky, like every day, he closed his shop at night and went.
At 8:30 am, they received a call from locals about the shop caught fire. Then he ran to the shop. The fire engine arrived. The fire was extinguished for about an hour. The entire shop was gutted in the fire. Vicky is crying badly. According to Vicky, there has been a loss of several lakhs of rupees. The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.
