Out of this, 175 people came from the district while 10 people from other districts tested positive, while by the third week of July and August, between one and two thousand samples were tested every day between 200 and 400 people were tested positive for coronavirus from different areas. The reduction in the number of infected patients is relief news for the city. However, the matter of concern is that the chain of deaths has not stopped. 14 patients admitted to different hospitals of the district died. Of these, 10 people were from Ludhiana city. So far, 334 corona-infected patients have died in the city, while 74 corona-infected patients from other cities have died.
