Bhopal: An alert for lumpy infection has been issued in Madhya Pradesh. The Department of Cattle Transport and Dairying has issued guidelines in this regard. As per the guidelines issued by the Government of India, instructions have been issued to be alert for identification and control of the disease and to collect samples as per the guidelines given in case of symptoms and send them to the State Animal Disease Investigation Laboratory, Bhopal. Let us know that there is panic among the people due to the rapid spread of the lumpy infection in Madhya Pradesh.

The guidelines stated that the lumpy virus skin disease is a viral disease of animals, which is transmitted to animals by the Pox virus. The disease is spread from one animal to another by mosquito bites flies and ticks etc. At the beginning of this disease, the mild fever lasts for two to three days, after which the lumps (2-3 cm) come out in the skin of the whole body.

Symptoms of lung virus:-
On the body of animals, this bundle is raised round, which goes to the depth of the muscles along with the skin. The symptoms of this disease spread to the mouth, throat, and respiratory tract. At the same time, swelling in the lymph node leads to swelling in the legs, decreased milk productivity, miscarriage, infertility and sometimes even death. Most animals infected with the same lumpy infection recover in 2-3 weeks. But the decrease in milk productivity persists for several weeks. The mortality rate is 15 per cent but the infection rate remains at 10-20 per cent.

Keep these things in mind:-
If an animal is infected with the lumpy virus, keep it separate from healthy animals. Also, consult the veterinary doctors and treat him. If the infected animals have a fever, then feed them paracetamol. At the same time, to prevent secondary bacterial infection, they should consult the doctor and apply antibiotics and anti-histamine to the wounds for 5-7 days. Give a sufficient amount of liquid to an animal infected with a lumpy infection.
