India’s leading Drug Company Lupin Limited said on Thursday that Merzee capsules, a drug intended to prevent pregnancy, are now available in the United States.
Lupin Ltd, a Mumbai-based pharmaceutical company, stated in a statement that the medicine has been released in the United State market under an exclusive licence, marketing, and distribution deal with Slayback Pharma LLC.
In February 2021, Slayback introduced this product in the United States.
Merzee (norethindrone acetate and ethinyl estradiol capsules, and ferrous fumarate capsules) is a generic version of Allergan Pharmaceuticals' Taytulla capsules, containing 1 mg/20 mcg.
Norethindrone acetate and ethinyl estradiol capsules, as well as ferrous fumarate capsules, 1 mg/20 mcg, with expected annual sales of USD 90 million in the United States, according to IQVIA MAT February 2022 data.
