Emmanuel Macron, the President of French has announced that France will deploy more medical supplies and a second hospital ship to Gaza.

France will send an aeroplane with more than 10 tonnes of medical supplies this week as well as contributing to EU-operated medical aid flights on Thursday and November 30, Macron’s office said in a statement on Sunday.

The French helicopter carrier Dixmude, which has 40 beds, will arrive in Egypt in the coming days, following the earlier deployment of the Tonnerre, the presidential office said.

Civil and military planes will also be deployed to evacuate sick or injured children from Gaza, according to the presidential office.

In a post on X, Macron said that France is “mobilizing all the means at its disposal” so that up to 50 children could be flown for treatment in hospitals in France if necessary.
Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, the prime minister of Qatar, stated that there are only "minor" obstacles standing in the way of an agreement to free some of the more than 200 individuals who were kidnapped and transported into Gaza following Hamas's attack on Israel last month.

"The remaining issues in the negotiations pale in comparison to the more significant issues. They are more realistic and logistically sound," Sheikh Mohammed said during a joint press conference with Josep Borrell, the EU's head of foreign policy.
