Bangalore: Voting for the Karnataka Assembly elections is to be held on May 10. For which the election campaign will stop from the evening of Monday i.e. 8th May. While campaigning in Karnataka on Saturday (May 6), Sonia Gandhi sought votes for Jagadish Shettar. AIMIM Chief and Lok Sabha MP from Hyderabad Asaduddin Owaisi has gone berserk over this and he has targeted Sonia Gandhi. In fact, Jagadish Shettar, a veteran Karnataka BJP leader, was not given a ticket by the party in this election. After which Shettar joined the Congress adopting a rebellious attitude and the Congress fielded him by giving him a ticket.
Now AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi, while addressing a rally in Hubli, questioned the ideology of prominent Congress leader Sonia Gandhi. Owaisi said that Sonia Gandhi has campaigned for an RSS related candidate (Shettar), he did not expect this. Owaisi asked that this is your (Sonia's) secularism? Will you fight Modi like this? He said that Madam Sonia Gandhi ji did not expect from you that you would ask for votes for people belonging to RSS.Â
Let us tell you that the opposition parties have often been accusing Owaisi of being the B team of the BJP. In response to this, Owaisi said that he was accused of being a joker, a servant. But, it is a matter of shame that the Congress has completely failed in the ideological battle. Let us tell you that Congress has given ticket to Shettar from Hubli-Dharwad. This is his ancestral seat. It was from here that Shettar won the election on a BJP ticket.
