Farmer turns millionaire after finding 14.98-carat diamond in Panna

Panna: In the Panna district of Madhya Pradesh, the fate of a farmer has shone overnight. The poor farmer has got a diamond of 14.98 carats from the mine, which has been auctioned for 60.60 lakh rupees. According to officials, a total of 129.83-carat diamonds were sold during the auction held between December 3 and 5 at the Diamond Office under the district administration in Panna.

On giving information about this, diamond inspector Anupam Singh has said that 14.98 carat diamond of farmer Lakhan Yadav (45) has sold for 60.60 lakh rupees in the auction held on December 5. He had found this diamond in November at a mine in Krishna Kalyanpur area of Panna district and on November 2, he deposited the diamond in the Diamond Office. During this time, Lakhan had said that the grace of God has been on him and that his happiness is not there.

He said that after depositing the diamond, he was given one lakh rupees as advance amount within two-three days and the remaining money will be given to him after January 15. Panna, which is counted in the backward area of Bundelkhand, is famous for diamond mines. Lakhan Yadav is a farmer. Gadkad Lakhan Yadav said, "After selling the diamond, I am very happy after selling the diamond. I got a diamond for the first time in my life. It is the grace of God, it is their gift."
