Bhopal: Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Prem Prakash Gautam has died due to coronavirus in Bhopal Madhya Pradesh. He was currently posted in CID. He was undergoing treatment at Viva Hospital since he was found positive. He had been serving the Police Department for nearly 38 years. DGP Vivek Johri also expressed grief over the death of DSP.  Chief Minister Shivraj Singh has also expressed grief over the death of DSP by tweeting.

Shivraj Singh tweeted "The news of the untimely demise of Shri Premprakash Gautam, Deputy Superintendent of Police, CID has been received. I pay my respects. Pray to God to give peace to the departed soul and family. Give them the power to bear the sorrow. His family is now the family of Madhya Pradesh." In Bhopal, cases of coronavirus infection are continuously increasing.

On Saturday, 140 new corona infections have been registered in Madhya Pradesh capital Bhopal. Earlier, more than 100 new cases are being filed every day for the past three days. The death toll of corona-infected people is increasing rapidly due to the growing havoc of the epidemic.
