Madhya Pradesh cabinet formed, 2 leaders of Scindia camp got ministerial post

Bhopal: The cabinet of Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan was formed on Tuesday. In the 13-minute swearing-in ceremony held at Raj Bhavan, 5 ministers took oath. Senior BJP MLAs Narottam Mishra, Kamal Patel and Meena Singh were made ministers. At the same time, Tulsi Silavat and Govind Singh Rajput were given ministership from Jyotiraditya Scindia camp.

The five leaders who took the oath have already held ministerial positions in the Shivraj and Kamal Nath governments. In Kamal Nath government, Silavat was the health minister and Govind Singh Rajput was handling the revenue and transport ministry. In Shivraj's previous government, Narottam Mishra was the Public Relations Minister and Kamal Patel was the Minister of Medical Education. Meena Singh has held the Ministry of State for Women and Child Development. Shivraj is the oldest and the richest minister in Shivraj's new cabinet. The 65-year-old Silavat has assets worth Rs 8.26 crore. At the same time, the youngest minister in the cabinet is 48-year-old Meena Singh, who has assets of about 1.67 crore.

Senior BJP MLAs Gopal Bhargava, Bhupendra Singh, Gaurishankar Bisen, Vijay Shah, Yashodhara Raje Scindia, Rajendra Shukla and Rampal Singh are yet to find a place in the cabinet. At the same time, Bisahulal Singh, Mahendra Singh Sisodia and Prabhuram Chaudhary who have left the Congress and joined the BJP have also been placed on hold.
