Bhopal: Fed up with the theft charge at Chattarpur in Madhya Pradesh, a young man tried to self-immolate by pouring petrol in front of the SP office, after which he was admitted to the district hospital in critical condition. The incident took place when Kanhaiya Agarwal, a young man standing in front of the SP office, suddenly set on fire petrol. Seeing the fire, the policemen of the SP office rushed to the young man and put out the fire.

As soon as the fire broke out, the young man was sent to the district hospital in the wake of the taxi, where he is being treated as his condition is critical. The young man is alleged to have accused Aman Dubey of stealing a bike and demanding money from him. He also complained to the police, but took this step when there was no hearing. When the young man attempted self-immolation, the top officials rushed to the district hospital and were busy taking his statement. Police have registered a case against Aman Dubey over the victim's statement.

Giving details of the case, a top police official said that "a man from Kanhaiya was demanding money. She had sought money from Kanhaiya alleging theft and assaulting her, which led to Kanhaiya setting himself on fire in front of the SP office.
