Bhopal: A heinous case has come to light in Chhatarpur, Madhya Pradesh, enough to tell how well-planned love jihad is being carried out and how deadly its purpose is. In the Chhatarpur district, Talib became a Hindu and married a girl. Talib and his family then pressured the girl to convert to Islam, eat beef and learn Urdu. When the girl refused, she was brutally tortured and eventually killed. The police have come into action after the girl's father urged the SP of Chhatarpur to intervene in the case.
The girl's father Kishori Lal Ahirwar said Talib, a resident of the Civil Lines police station area, used to describe himself as a Hindu. He became a Hindu and married his daughter. Ahirwar said Talib's real face came to light after the marriage and he started harassing his daughter for conversion. He said that a few days ago his daughter had pleaded for life over the phone but was killed by the time they reached to rescue her. Ahirwar said, 'When I reached my daughter's in-laws, it was found that everyone had escaped after locking the house. People in the locality told me that your daughter had died.'
The girl's father said his daughter married Talib who became Tabu in 2015 and also has two children. He said his daughter was pressured to convert to Islam after marriage. The in-laws were forced not only to change religion but also to eat beef and read Urdu. His daughter was tortured in many ways and killed when she refused. Kishori Lal has also accused the police of negligence in the case. He said he has been seeking help from civil line TI Rajesh Banjari for the past two days but he remained silent. No one helped him. He finally had to apply to the superintendent of police's office after which the police swung into action. However, no arrests have been made so far.
