Bhopal: In the midst of the ongoing political upheaval in Madhya Pradesh, the game of check and play has started in Congress and BJP. Both parties have stood face to face on the floor test issue in the assembly. While the opposition party BJP has demanded a majority on March 16, the Congress has said that it is ready to face the floor test only after the decision on the resignation of its 22 rebel MLAs.

22 of his supporters have also resigned from the membership of the assembly after former Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia resigned from the Congress on Tuesday, March 10, 2020, and joined the BJP. Due to this, the 15-month-old Congress government led by Kamal Nath was caught in crisis. BJP's Chief Whip in the Assembly Narottam Mishra said on Thursday, "Due to the government being in a minority, we have demanded the Governor and the Speaker to conduct a floor test on March 16 with the beginning of the state budget session."

Wherever he also said, the governor and the speaker have resignations of 22 MLAs and now they have to decide. Former Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan also said the government has lost the majority. BJP spokesperson Rajneesh Agarwal also said that with the beginning of the budget session on March 16, the party will pressurize the speaker for floor tests. According to the information received, when senior Congress leader and former Chief Minister Digvijay Singh was asked about the BJP's demand, he said that he should be fully prepared for the floor test of the party. But he also said Kamal Nath has already said that we are ready for the floor test. But before the floor test, a decision should be taken on the resignation of the rebel MLAs.
