BHOPAL: The Cabinet Ministers have granted their approval for the "Madhya Pradesh Naxal Surrender, Rehabilitation, and Relief Policy 2023." This policy aims to foster constructive employment prospects and entrepreneurial avenues for former Naxal insurgents who have chosen to surrender. The framework of the Madhya Pradesh Naxal Surrender, Rehabilitation, and Relief Policy has been formulated in response to the prevailing security landscape within the state. Its core objective is to facilitate the reintegration of those individuals who willingly renounce violence and opt for a peaceful path. According to the policy's guidelines, individuals who surrender will receive financial support: INR 1.5 lakhs for housing construction, a sum ranging from INR 10,000 to 4.5 lakhs as ex-gratia for surrendering their weapons, INR 50,000 as a marriage incentive, an immediate aid of either INR 5 lakhs or the announced award amount (whichever is higher), INR 20 lakhs for purchasing immovable property, and INR 1.5 lakhs for vocational training. Additionally, beneficiaries will also have access to the Ayushman Bharat Yojana and Food Assistance Scheme.

Inclusive provisions have been included in the policy to assist those who have suffered due to Naxal-related violence. In the event of a fatality caused by such violence, the victim's family will receive INR 15 lakhs; INR 20 lakhs will be provided to the family of a deceased security personnel, and INR 4 lakhs in case of physical disability. If a civilian loses their life due to Naxal violence, a family member will be offered a Class Three/Four position within the government. For complete destruction of immovable property, INR 1.5 lakhs will be granted, while a maximum of INR 50,000 will be offered for partial damage. In tandem with various government schemes, the affected families will also be entitled to benefits from the Ayushman Bharat Yojana and Food Assistance Scheme.

Green Signal for the Establishment of 305 New Positions in Nursing Colleges

The Cabinet's endorsement has paved the way for the establishment of a total of 305 fresh positions for nursing educators and related roles across nursing colleges in Bhopal, Jabalpur, Gwalior, Rewa, and Sagar. This initiative aims to align with the standards set by the Indian Nursing Council (INC) and deliver exceptional training to nursing students. The recruitment for these positions will be carried out by the Governing Body, established as per the guidelines outlined in the Madhya Pradesh Autonomous Medical College Academic Model Rules of 2018. The state's students will have the opportunity to acquire proficiency in paramedical techniques alongside comprehensive education in nursing at both graduate and postgraduate levels. This approach equips them to secure employment in diverse hospitals across the country, armed with extensive knowledge in paramedical and surgical paramedical techniques relevant to their field.
