PANNA: Madhya Pradesh's Chief Minister, Shivraj Singh Chouhan, has revealed plans to incrementally raise the monthly assistance provided to women through the 'Mukhyamantri Ladli Bahna Yojana' from Rs 1,000 to Rs 3,000. Speaking at the 'Ladli Bahna Sammelan' in Panna district's Ganaur on Friday, Chouhan also outlined initiatives to introduce Science faculty classes at Gunaur's college and elevate Gunaur's Girls' High School to a Higher Secondary School.
Chouhan stated, "I intend to progressively enhance the Ladli Bahna Yojana aid from Rs 1,000 to Rs 3,000 per month. We are set to initiate Science faculty classes at Gunaur's college, while simultaneously elevating Gunaur's Girls' High School to the status of a Higher Secondary School."
In a bid to bolster its stance for the upcoming state assembly elections, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) released its initial list of 39 candidates for the 230-seat assembly. Of these, five women were among the candidates. The roster encompassed 21 positions reserved for candidates from various categories, including eight from the Scheduled Caste (SC) and 13 from the Scheduled Tribes (ST).
Taking a dig at the Congress party's delayed announcement of candidates for the forthcoming state assembly polls, Chouhan remarked on Friday that the BJP was fully engaged in the electoral competition. He asserted, "Our commitment to the election process is unwavering, and our preparations are well underway. While Congress was promising to unveil its candidate list a year or six months ago, we have already introduced ours. Our candidates are now actively engaging with the electorate."
The government's Vikas Parv (Festival of Development) is presently underway, marked by the execution of public welfare programs and schemes. The launch of the Mukhyamantri Sikho Kamao Yojana (Learn and Earn Scheme) is scheduled for August 22. Notably, several initiatives such as the Ladli Bahna Yojana have already been put into effect across the state. Chouhan emphasized the BJP's dedicated approach to the election campaign.
He elaborated, "The Congress party is showing signs of concern due to our comprehensive preparation. Union Home Minister Amit Shah is slated to visit Bhopal on August 20, where he will unveil the government's performance report. He will provide insights into our accomplishments."
"We are steadfast in our pursuit of victory, fueled by determination and faith. The Congress, however, seems to be grappling with frustration, leading them to make baseless allegations. Nevertheless, the overwhelming support and blessings we receive from the public are truly remarkable and unprecedented. Our Jan Darshan gatherings have attracted substantial crowds, and numerous yatras (political processions) are on the horizon. The Congress' disquiet is evident in their reactions," Chouhan concluded.
With a resolute vision, Chouhan projected that the BJP would secure a commanding triumph in the 2023 state assembly elections, ensuring the party's return to governance. Furthermore, he confidently forecasted the BJP's victory in all 29 out of 29 seats in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
