NEW DELHI: During the Republic Day parade 2025, Madhya Pradesh presented a beautiful tableau celebrating the successful reintroduction of cheetahs to Kuno National Park. This park, located along the peaceful Kuno River in Sheopur district, has become a symbol of hope for wildlife conservation.
The front section of the tableau showed a pair of cheetahs and their cubs, highlighting the parkās thriving cheetah population.
In the middle section, the flowing Kuno River was depicted, surrounded by lush forests. Various animals like deer, monkeys, and cheetahs were shown living in harmony with nature. The display captured the beauty of Kuno National Park and its importance as a haven for biodiversity.
The back portion of the tableau featured a āCheetah Mitra,ā or Cheetah Friend, sitting under a tree. This figure represented the efforts made to educate and involve local communities in protecting cheetahs and living peacefully alongside them.
The final section showcased forest officials monitoring the cheetahs from a watchtower, symbolizing their hard work and dedication to making this project a success.
Adding to the cultural richness of the tableau, a dance troupe performed Sheopurās traditional āLehangiā dance, making the presentation vibrant and lively.
