Bhopal: in Madhya Pradesh, the Life of animals and birds has also been affected due to heatwave in different parts of the state including Bhopal. Over the past several days, there have been reports of deaths of monkeys and bats due to the lack of hot winds and water. In large parts of the state the heat has reached its peak these days, the temperature has also reached beyond 48 °c.

In the daytime, the sun is ablaze. Due to increased heat impact, the Education Department has extended the leave of government and private schools till June 23. The first holiday was until June 17. The bodies of 15 monkeys were recovered on Saturday in the Joshi Baba Jungle in Punjabura area of Dewas district. The post-mortem therapist says that the death of monkeys is prima facie heat and heat stroke.

Devas forest Officer P. N. Mishra told the press that the monkey died of thirst. The other group did not let a group of monkeys go to the water site, causing the accident. Where the monkey is found dead, the water is arranged at some distance. Water has now been arranged in the place where the monkeys ' bodies were found. The activities of monkeys are being monitored through night vision cameras.
