Ujjain: Due to Corona, the temple boards were also closed. But now gradually temples are being opened with new guidelines. The entry of devotees started this morning after 79 days in Jyotirlinga Mahakal temple. Devotees of Lord Mahakal will be shown to devotees from 8 am to 6 pm. Thermal screening of devotees is being done before entering the temple. Visitors are also being sanitized. The temple administration has ensured mobile app, toll-free number and advance booking at the temple counter to make Mahakal darshan. Apart from Mahakal temple, Kaal Bhairav temple has also been opened. The remaining temples in Ujjain will open on or after 15 June. Apart from temples, it has also been agreed to open a church including two mosques and gurudwaras.

Actually, under the new system in the Mahakal temple, visitors are being given entry from gate number one. Devotees are entering the temple from gate number 6 through the facility center, tunnel. The devotees are entering the Ganesh Mandapam from here through the Karthikeya Mandapam. The entry of visitors to the sanctum sanctorum will remain closed. After the darshan, devotees are passing through the ramp of Nandi Hall and passing out of the temple near the Omkareshwar temple. Devotees have not been allowed to visit other temples inside the complex. The temple administration has planned to have 2800 devotees.

For your information, let us tell you that the app which has been prepared for advance booking, started working from 8.30 pm on Sunday night. Due to delayed launch of the app, the visitors kept getting upset. The toll free number 18002331008 issued by the temple committee was also not working due to the app not being started. Temple Administrator Sujan Singh Rawat said that by 10 pm on Sunday night, more than 500 devotees had made advance booking for darshan. Since the app ran late in the evening, the call center will work till 12 pm.
