Bareilly: There was a ruckus in the Nawabganj police station area of Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh when a speeding vehicle hit a Kanwariya. Thereafter, there was a ruckus and the Kanwariyas blocked the highway. The bolero that hit the bike is said to be of a Mahant. The issue got worse in such a way that even the top officers of the district administration and police got stunned. Somehow, to pacify the matter, all the officers along with their crew reached the spot.

The same Kanwariyas allege that the accident happened due to the negligence of the police. After receiving the complaint of uproar, local MLA MP Arya reached the spot along with the police force. Being a doctor, the MLA first treated the injured Kanwariyas and then pacified them by explaining and smothering them. The injured persons were sent to the hospital for treatment.

MLA MP Arya said that the Kanwariyas allege that some policemen were also present when the pickup car hit their group. They neither sent the injured to the hospital for treatment nor did they try to catch the vehicle that hit them. After this accident, there was a ruckus at the spot. Thereafter, after persuading the local MLA, the Kavadias calmed down and as such the jam was opened. On the other hand, the police also left a message on wireless to nab the Bolero vehicle and started searching for the vehicle with the help of CCTV. A checking campaign was also started on all the routes by putting barriers on all the routes of the area. The police have traced the number of the car that hit them. It is claimed that the vehicle will be caught soon and action will also be taken against the driver.
