Mumbai: Eight bodies have been found at three different places on the beach in Raigad district of Maharashtra. At the same time, the police have raised suspicion that these barges could be the bodies of the victims of P305 which drowned on the Mumbai coast due to cyclone Tokte. In fact, a senior Raigad police official said last Sunday that "out of the eight bodies found on Saturday, five were washed away on the Mandwa coast, two in Alibaug and one in Murud. Not only that, he also said, "The bodies have not yet been identified." At the same time, he said, "Senior officials of the local administration and state police have been informed about the bodies.''

In this case, a Navy spokesperson had said in the past that "The Barge P305 sank last Monday due to sea waves during Cyclone Taute and showed up at sea level on Saturday." At the same time, the Navy had also said, "The death toll in the accident rose to 66 after the bodies of six more people were found on Saturday while nine personnel are still missing. At the time of the incident, 261 personnel were on board the Barge P305, out of which 186 have been rescued so far.''

Bajra P305 was reportedly engaged in maintenance of an offshore oil drilling platform of state-run oil and gas company ONGC and the said barge sank near mumbai coast on Monday evening due to high speed winds and high sea waves on its way to Gujarat. In fact, in addition to the nine missing personnel of the Barge P305, the Navy and the Coast Guard are also searching for 11 people from the boat Varprada who went missing after the cyclone. Two of the 13 people on board the same Varprada were rescued.
