Mumbai: A rock fell from a mountain in Talai village under Mahad tehsil of Raigad in Maharashtra. 36 people have lost their lives in the accident and many are feared to be buried in the debris. So far, 36 bodies buried in the debris have been netted out by locals.

In fact, a giant rock fell from a mountain in Talai village of Mahad tehsil. Under which 36 people have died due to pressure. The District Collector has confirmed 32 deaths. It is feared that a large number of bodies may be buried under the debris. The incident is said to have taken place at 4:30 pm last evening. Maharashtra Legislative Council leader Praveen Darekar has expressed apprehension that at least 40 to 50 people may be buried under the debris in the accident.

According to locals, the number is almost twice as distinguished. He says about 80 to 90 people may be buried in the debris. Darekar alleged that despite such a major incident, no team from the administration has reached for rescue operations. 36 bodies were recovered from the debris by the locals.
