Nagpur: A new twist has come in the Rs 2.50 crore fraud case with the mother of the Chief Justice of India (CJI). The period of police custody of the accused arrested in this case has been extended. It is being told that the period has been extended till December 21. The accused Ghosh looks after the property of the mother of the CJI and his wife is also involved in this case.

He was arrested last week. Recently accused Tapas Nandlal Ghosh (49) was produced before the sessions court by the Special Investigation Team (SIT) of the city police and requested to extend his custody. The custody of Tapas Nandlal Ghosh ended on Wednesday and that is why SIT produced him in court.

Apart from Tapas Nandlal Ghosh and his wife, some other people have also been accused of cheating CJI's mother Mukta Bobde (94). It is being said that till now only Tapas Nandlal Ghosh has been arrested in this case, none of the others has been arrested. Tapas Nandlal Ghosh used to look after the property of the mother of the CJI and now the proceedings of this case are going on.
