Mumbai: There are only a few weeks left for the assembly elections in Maharashtra. In such a situation, the political atmosphere has become hot in the state. After ticket distribution, resentment is coming out in various parties. In this episode, the Shiv Sena, the ruling party in the state, has suffered a major setback. The party's 26 counsellors and about 300 workers from Kalyan (East) assembly seat have sent their resignations to party president Uddhav Thackeray. All these are unhappy with the distribution of seats for the assembly elections.

According to the information, all of them have resigned in support of the rebel candidate of the party, Dhananjay Bodare. Local Shiv Sena leaders are angry that the party has asked them to support BJP candidate Ganpat Gaikwad in the upcoming assembly elections. According to party sources, Shiv Sena leaders wanted a party candidate for Kalyan (East) seat, but this seat went in favor of BJP in seat sharing with BJP. After which the local leaders decided that they would support Bodare.

Senior Sena leaders called a meeting on Tuesday to protest the resentment among local leaders and asked party workers to support the BJP candidate. Local Shiv Sena leaders collectively resigned following orders from top party leaders.
