Eknath Khadse, one of the most senior BJP leaders in the state, filled the nomination papers from Muktanagar seat in Jalgaon on Tuesday even though his name was not in the first list. He made it clear that if the party does not give tickets, he can stand as an independent. October 4 is the last date for nomination. Names can be withdrawn by October 7. In such a situation, there can be several dramas of rebellion and rage in Maharashtra in the coming three days.

BJP has given tickets to 12 leaders from Congress-NCP in its first list of 125 candidates.
