Maharashtra:Blast in Ammunition Depot,killed two army officer

Tuesday ,May 31, 2016: In a massive fire at an ammunition depot at Pulgaon,Maharashtra, two officers are among 17 army personnel killed and nineteen have wounded that has been powerful since last night at the vast arms storage facility spread over acres of land.

Around, 1am the fire broke out after blast and spread quickly through what is one of the biggest ammunition depots in India and the second biggest in Asia. Around 1,000 villagers in the nearby areas have been stirred to safety.

As per the army said, “ firefighters working through the night have largely controlled the blaze but smaller fires and explosions are a worry.”

Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar is likely to visit the facility to charge the damage.
