Shiv Sena slams budget, says, 'Center has done dirty politics'

Maharashtra: The Shiv Sena has claimed on Tuesday, 'Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has announced a big package in the budget for some states where elections are to be held in the coming few months.' Recently the Shiv Sena has targeted the central government and asked 'Is it right to use the budget as a weapon to win elections?'.

He has targeted one after another in the editorial of mouthpiece 'Saamana'. In this, he has said, 'Allotting more money to states where assembly elections are due in the next few months is equal to giving bribe'. Simultaneously, Shiv Sena has also accused the central government of starting a new trend of 'dirty politics' of votes through the budget. The Shiv Sena has alleged, "The Center of Maharashtra, the state which contributed the most revenue to the central government's fund, has neglected."

Nirmala Sitharaman has presented the Union Budget for 2021-22 on Monday. The mouthpiece said, 'It is unfortunate that the central government has started a new trend of playing the game of dirty politics of votes through the budget'. According to the editorial, assembly elections are due in West Bengal, Assam, Tamil Nadu and Kerala so the finance minister has allocated big packages and projects to those states'.
