Mumbai: Coronavirus cases in Maharashtra are increasing day by day. On Saturday, 6,281 new patients have been found in the state in a day, and in addition, 40 infected people have died. With the death of 40 infected, the number of active patients in the state has increased to 48,439. Now today i.e. on Sunday, Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray is going to address the state at seven o'clock. It is being said that in view of the increasing infection, he can say about putting a lockdown in the state. By the way, if you know, before this, the Chief Minister had said in the past that 'If people do not desist from breaking the rules, then lockdown can be imposed in the state again.'

Recently a top official said in his statement, 'The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) currently has no plans to put a lockdown in Mumbai. Instead, the focus will be on testing and treatment and strict implementation of face masks in public places.' Simultaneously, BMC Additional Municipal Commissioner Suresh Kakani says, "Lockdown in Mumbai is not an option. But we are preparing for the worst situation. I have instructed all jumbo facilities to inspect ventilators, para-monitors, housekeeping, medicines, oxygen, fire equipment, and safety so that we will be ready to recruit them when patients grow.''

There are 11,968 isolation beds in Mumbai, out of which around 9,000 are empty in government and private hospitals. With this, the NESCO Jumbo facility has 3,000 beds ready, out of which only 1,700 have been activated (so far). Talking about the CM, nothing can be said about what he is going to do.
