Gondia: A horrific train accident has been reported in Gondia, Maharashtra today. Here Bhagat's Kothi train collided with a goods train near Gondia, after that, one bogie of the train derailed. 50 people were injured in the accident. Of these, 13 people are said to be seriously injured. The train was coming from Raipur towards Nagpur. It was then that Bhagat's Kothi train collided with a goods train near Gondia town. The S3 coach of the train derailed. In this, 13 people are said to be seriously injured. The accident took place around 2.30 am. The accident took place due to a lack of signal between the goods train and the passenger train Bhagat Ki Kothi. It is a matter of relief that no death of any passenger has been reported in it. The train was on its way to Jodhpur in Rajasthan from Bilaspur in Chhattisgarh.

The injured passengers have been taken to government and private hospitals in the Gondia district. The incident took place during midnight. Both these trains were going towards Nagpur from the same direction. Bhagat Ki Kothi train was going on forward after getting the green signal, but before Gondia city, the goods train did not get the signal and it was standing on the track. Due to this, the Bhagat Ki Kothi train collided with it from behind and this accident happened.

Earlier on April 3, a major train accident took place near Nashik in Maharashtra. In this, 11 coaches of Jayanagar Express have derailed. Ten coaches of train number 11061 LTT-Jaynagar Express (Pawan Express) derailed between Lahvit and Deolali near Nashik on the downline.
