Maharashtra: Recently Maharashtra government has extended the lockdown in the state till 28 February. An order has been issued in which it has been said that the activities which have been previously permitted will continue. All the previous orders have been asked to align with this order. According to the news, the lockdown in the state will now continue till February 28.

Earlier the Maharashtra government had extended the restrictions imposed in the state till 31 January 2021 in view of Coronavirus infection. A circular in this regard was issued on 29 December 2020. In that circular, it was stated, 'There is a danger of spreading of coronavirus in the state, due to which some emergency steps are being taken to prevent its spread and lockdown restrictions are extended in the state till 31 January'.

It also said that the activities which have been allowed from time to time will continue. In the last few months, the government has relaxed the lockdown restrictions a lot. The Maharashtra government had allowed the reopening of places of worship in November as well and classes have been started from 9th to 12th in some parts of the state.
