Mumbai: The way to form a government in Maharashtra has been cleared. According to sources, after a long struggle, the Shiv Sena, Congress and NCP have agreed to form the government. As per the agreement, Shiv Sena will get the post of CM for the entire term. The post of Deputy CM will come in the account of Congress and NCP.

According to sources, talks are going on between Shiv Sena, Congress and NCP in Maharashtra to form the government. The three parties have reached an agreement on the Common Minimum Program (CMP). According to this agreement, Shiv Sena will get the CM post for the full term, while the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) will be given 14 posts and Congress will be given 12 ministerial posts. Apart from the CM post, the Shiv Sena itself will also get 14 ministerial posts.

According to sources, the Congress is likely to have a meeting this week between interim president Sonia Gandhi and NCP chief Sharad Pawar. However, the agreement between the three parties does not include the issue of Hindutva. It has also been agreed to focus on CMP on issues related to farmers and youth. At the same time, there are some cases on which mutual agreement could not be reached. While Shiv Sena has demanded Bharat Ratna for Veer Savarkar, Congress-NCP is demanding 5 per cent reservation for Muslims.
