Chandrapur: In Maharashtra, a shepherd has been made a Sarpanch. In Chandrapur, the individuals of Bamani village of Ballarpur block elected the shepherd as their Sarpanch. The villagers had also collected donations to make the shepherd contest the election. Also, election campaigning was done for him on bicycles. After that, the villagers gave him a lot of votes, and he won. The youth of the village played the biggest contribution to the victory of the shepherd. In fact, 55-year-old Pralhad Budhaji Alam belongs to the tribal community. lives in the Bamani village. His financial condition was not good, so he used to graze village people's animals.

Apart from this, he supports his family with whatever he earns by farming and labor. Prahlad Budhaji's identity in the village is that of a good man. Because Prahlad always stands for the happiness and sorrow of the people of the village. Prahlad Alam filed his nomination as an independent candidate for the post of Sarpanch in the gram panchayat elections. BJP and Congress party candidates were standing in front of him. Yet he did not lose courage. But, trouble arose when he neither had enough money nor supporters to contest the elections. In such a situation, Prahlad started walking alone on his bicycle, promoting himself.

The people of the village also made fun of Prahlad for doing this, but he says- "Who says there can't be a hole in the sky, friends, throw a stone with all your strength." Seeing the simplicity and honesty of Alam, the youth of his village helped him. The youth collected donations for Alam so that he could get help in contesting the elections. Apart from this, a lot of publicity was also done for Prahlad in the whole panchayat.
