Maharashtra: Corona havoc decreasing but delta plus cases on the rise

Mumbai: The second wave of corona in Maharashtra has now slowed down. However, last Monday, 3,643 new corona cases including 27 cases of Delta Plus variant were reported in the state. Amidst all this, the state government has started preparations to deal with the possible third wave. Recently, the State Government has issued a statement. In this statement, the state government said, "It is fully prepared to deal with the possible third wave of the epidemic.'' At the same time, Health Minister Rajesh Tope said, "The state government is fully prepared to face any challenge of the possible third wave.''

In fact, Maharashtra Health Minister Rajesh Tope recently said, "We (medical staff) have taken steps to fill up the vacant posts, ensure the maximum level of oxygen, provide additional budget as well as medicines.'' Let us also tell all of you that the Central Government has estimated the state-wise requirement of ICU beds in various States for the third wave. According to the assessment made, Uttar Pradesh will require the highest number of 33,000 ICU beds, followed by Maharashtra with 17,865 beds and Bihar with 17,480 beds.

Let us also inform all of you that out of 27 Delta Plus cases last Monday, six are from Amravati, six were from Gadchiroli, five were from Nagpur, four were from Ahmednagar, three from Yavatmal, two from Nashik, and one from Bhandara. Similarly, the state health department says, the total number of Delta Plus cases in the state has gone up to 103.
