Mumbai: Other religious places including temples can be opened in the country's state of Maharashtra soon. However, it would be necessary to wear masks within the temple as well. Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray has confirmed this. He has said that we are discussing the opening of temples and other religious places soon after Diwali. He said that even though slippers, shoes will be removed outside the temple or religious places, it will be mandatory to wear masks in every situation. Because if a single COVID-19 patient roams in a crowded area without a mask, it can infect at least 400 other people.

Just two days ago, the Uddhav government had issued guidelines for Diwali. He urged the public to celebrate the festival of Diwali with simplicity like the other festival in view of the COVID-19 epidemic this time. He said that due to Corona epidemic, temples will not be opened in the state. Hence, people should worship at home on the occasion of Diwali. Do not crowd the public place, it was instructed to at least get out and use the sanitizer.

He has urged people to at least burn firecrackers on the occasion of Diwali. However, there is no ban on burning of firecrackers in Maharashtra. The guidelines state that Maharashtra and the whole of India are under the threat of COVID-19 epidemic. Therefore, pay attention to conserve the environment instead of bursting firecrackers.
