Thane (Maharashtra): A big news has recently come from Thane district of Maharashtra. In fact, the police have recovered alleged beef worth Rs 1.44 lakh here. An official is said to have informed about the same today. In this case, it is being reported that the alleged beef was being brought here illegally.

Talking about the case, an official said that a van was stopped at Vadape Naka in Bhiwandi town of Thane on Monday and its 23-year-old driver has also been arrested. On the other hand, an official of Bhiwandi taluka police station said that the vehicle was on its way from Ahmednagar to Mumbai. In addition, he has informed that a case has been registered against the driver under sections of the IPC and Animal Protection Act.

He further said that the alleged beef was to be transported to Govandi in Mumbai. Let us tell all of you that cow slaughter and beef are banned in the State, so this is not the first case, but there have been many such shocking cases before.
