Today is the holy festival of lord Shiva called Mahashivaratri. In this festival, everyone worships Bhole Baba and chant mantras to make them happy. You must have known that Lord Shankar mantras are being chanted from house to house today and there are long queues of devotees outside the temples. Today people worship Bhole by offering milk, pan, Bel Patra, etc on Shivling. It is said that by worshiping Shiva on the occasion of Mahashivaratri, you get the desired wish and the blessings of Lord Bholenath remain always with you. From common to special everyone is seen wishing eachother on this festival.
