Mahika says, 'To celebrate Akshaya Tritiya, buying gold or jewelery for years is a ritual. But this year, looking at the situation, I have tried to help the needy people. I am stuck in London, but I came to know from my acquaintances that two families in Mumbai are badly affected by the Coronavirus and need a health checkup along with their stay. After examining everything, I decided to take care of these families for a year.' While in London, Mahika is in self isolation and during an interview recently, she said that she is living in an environment of fear in London away from her country and family. She has said that she feels that she is in captivity and feeling very lonely.

Arun Govil tweeted, "I have no desire for any Award"

In the interview she said, 'I am alone in London and I feel like imprisoned here. I cannot find Indian food here, I only depend on salads, fruits and juices. I miss my food. So to be honest it is not a good feeling. I am scared. I'm fine now but I'm worried about what will happen next.' Mahika has said, "While living in India, even if in lockdown, air and environment give you a boost. You feel like you are surrounded by your people and all this gives you comfort, but, being trapped in a foreign country is really annoying. Even I feel strange to return to India because people would not like to come close to me."
