WhatsApp has introduced several new features on its WhatsApp Channel, as shared by WhatsApp Head, Will Cathcart. Cathcart shared details about these features on his WhatsApp channel, including a poll and a voice note. Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg also provided insights, mentioning additions such as voice notes, multiple admins, status sharing, and polls.

In essence, users can now access these features on WhatsApp channels. With these updates, channel admins can create polls for members to vote on. Additionally, detailed information can be shared in the form of voice messages. Multiple admins can now be assigned to a channel, enabling several individuals to post on the channel. Cathcart revealed that the platform witnesses a staggering 7 billion voice messages daily, and now, these features will extend to WhatsApp channels.

Furthermore, a channel can have up to 16 admins, and the company has introduced the "Share to Status" feature. Users can now share channel updates on their WhatsApp Status. If users follow a channel, they can share its details on their WhatsApp Status. WhatsApp Channel feature was initially launched in September last year, allowing users to share information with their teams and organizations in one centralized location. This feature sets channels apart from groups, as only admins can post in channels, while others can simply follow the channel.

These additions enhance the functionality of WhatsApp channels, making them more versatile and interactive for users. The combination of voice notes, polls, and status sharing enriches the user experience, providing new ways for individuals and organizations to communicate and share information on the platform.
