Malala Yousafzai has praised Angelina Jolie's book on children's and young people's rights, Know Your Rights: And Claim Them, which attempts to educate the world's youth about their fundamental human rights, which, as Malala has stated, "are equal in status to those of any adult."

The activist took to social media to express her true opinions on the book and praised her friend Jolie for the considerate initiative. Yousafzai has stated that she is "proud" of Angelina Jolie and that the book will serve as a stepping stone for youngsters all around the globe who want to learn about their rights as global citizens. According to Malala, the book focuses on providing children with the “knowledge they need to stand up to injustice in their own lives and around the world.”

Malala and Angelina have both actively raised their voices against injustices, particularly to raise awareness about crimes against children, as is well known across the world. Last month, Jolie took to Instagram to express her displeasure to the Taliban's control of Afghanistan. She posted a picture in which an Afghan girl had written her an exclusive letter describing their suffering in the nation. The Maleficent star had asked her fans and others to aid the Afghan people who were in need.

Malala took use of the occasion to teach young people about their rights while applauding Jolie's work. “No one has the right to harm you, to silence you, to tell you what to think or believe,” Malala penned, urging young people to learn about their rights through the book.
