Malaysia reported 2,712 fresh corona cases . With the addition of these cases, the nation's tally stands at 274,875.Another 25 deaths have been reported, pushing the death toll to 1,030.

in a press statement, Health Ministry Director-General Noor Hisham Abdullah said that four of the new cases are imported and 2,708 are local transmissions.Another 5,320 patients have been released after recovery, bringing the total cured and discharged to 235,082 or 85.5 per cent of all cases. Of the remaining 38,763 active cases, 227 are being held in intensive care units and 103 of those are in need of assisted breathing.

Malaysia will get its first batch of COVID-19 vaccines produced by U.S. and German drugmakers Pfizer and BioNTech on Feb. 21, and kick off its inoculation drive five days after that, Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin said on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, according to the Johns Hopkins University, the total number of global coronavirus cases has topped 109.8 million, while the deaths have surged to more than 2.42 million.The US is the worst-hit country with the world's highest number of cases and deaths at 27,824,650 and 490,447.
