Mallya rejects blames about 'plea bargain'

Vijay Mallya, the well-known Liquor baron of India denied all the blames of requesting a plea, imposed by an Enforcement Directorate (ED) official.
Mallya reached to his Twitter handle and tweeted, "Media reports quote an ED official stating that I am attempting a plea bargain. Would respectfully suggest that the official read the ED charge sheet first. I would invite the ED to advance the same plea bargain theory in Court in front of whom I have placed my assets."

Mallya's statement was released post an ED official rejected his offer to fix all the dues if his assets were released as "an attempt at plea bargaining and a bid to bolster his case against extradition to India from Britain.
The official also informed that no copy of any affidavit was provided by Mallya and no United Breweries Holdings were presented before the Karnataka High Court, which completely contradicts Mallya's statement.
Few days before, Mallya finally talked about the scandal of Rs 9000 crores that he loaned from the banks.
In his tweets, Vijay Mallya expressed his disappointment towards being presented as the "poster boy of Bank default and a lightning rod of public anger".
The Liquor Baron also asserted that he has been making every possible effort, in good faith to fix all the dues with the concerned banks, but if Politicians continue to defame him, he would not be able to do much.
