Kolkata: West Bengal CM Mamta Banerjee has urged the Modi government on Saturday that Cyclone Amfan in the state has destroyed many areas. In such a situation, flight operations in West Bengal must be postponed. Mamta Banerjee said this when she came back to Kolkata after visiting the storm-hit South 24 Parganas district.

Addressing the media in Kolkata, Mamta Banerjee said, "Since we are facing such a disaster, it would be better to wait for a few days. Instead of 25 May, if they postpone it till 30 May We can manage it better. " Mamta Banerjee has said that, "The state government should give a few days time to the Indian government for the preparation because the entire state machinery was busy in relief and restoration work after the cyclone."

She further said, "I know the public will be at a disadvantage. If people want to return, I welcome them. They don't even need to live in a quarantine center, we will ensure that they stay at home "At least three days' time, and restore it by 28."
