Kolkata: West Bengal Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar has leveled serious allegations against the Chief Minister of the state, Mamta Banerjee. Dhankhar has said in an interview that Mamta is running Bengal like a dictator and has no respect for constitutional posts. The governor also alleged that after the state assembly elections, he himself saw how violence was spread and the situation in Bengal was worse than Emergency.

However, he also expressed hope that the times to come would change and the people would get rid of this bad governance. Dhankhar said in his interview that no one would have seen such a state, where the rule runs like this. He alleged that the highest constitutional post of the state like the governor was constantly being insulted. The Governor said that when I go after giving information to the Speaker, I am not allowed to enter by closing the door of the Assembly. When I go to Calcutta University as a Chancellor, the Vice Chancellor leaves with a lock. Even my speech in the assembly is blacked out. It hurts, but nothing more can be done.

The governor said that after the election he himself saw how people had to migrate because the state was anti-Mamata. The Governor said that such an orgy of violence took place that people fled to Assam and those who could not go, had to bear all the atrocities. According to the governor, when there is a government of different parties in the center and the state, then the person sitting in this post has to go through all the difficulties. He said that they are fulfilling their responsibility by taking a sip of blood.
