Kolkata: West Bengal CM and Trinamool Congress (TMC) supremo Mamata Banerjee has compared law and order in the state to BJP-ruled Uttar Pradesh. Mamata has said that Bengal is much better than other states. At the same time, she also said that the BJP will not come back to power in 2024. Mamata also claimed that the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) was not in force. In fact, Union Home Minister Amit Shah is on a visit to Bengal. She had raised questions on the law and order situation in the state.
Speaking at the Netaji Stadium in Kolkata on Thursday, she said, "If someone says don't go to Bengal, if you go to Bengal, you will be killed, then I feel bad. Bengal is better than other States. Shah had alleged that if he went to Bengal, he would be killed. Banerjee further said, "Today in UP, if girls go to seek justice, the victims are made accused. But we don't do that here. If they are wrong, I don't even leave my own children and girls (party workers). But, there are some people who are circulating fake videos.''
TMC supremo Mamata Banerjee said, "You need to do social work to do politics. Today, I once again take an oath in front of my mothers and sisters that I will work for Bengal till I leave. Bengal will show India the way.''
'CAA will be implemented as soon as Corona ends...', Amit Shah roared fiercely in Mamta's Bengal.
