Kolkata: Shortly before the Chief Minister and party supremo Mamata Banerjee will hold rallies to celebrate the Trinamool Congress's spectacular victory in the by-elections in three assembly seats in Bengal. On Monday, the Chief Minister himself said that he would hold Thanksgiving (Thanksgiving) rallies in Kharagpur Sadar, Karimpur and Kaliaganj assembly constituencies. It will start from Kharagpur Sadar seat. This seat was vacant after the state BJP president Dilip Ghosh won the Lok Sabha elections from Medinipur. Pradeep Sarkar of Trinamool has defeated the BJP candidate in this seat. The Chief Minister said that the first program will be held in Kharagpur on December 9.

According to the information received from sources, after Kharagpur, the Chief Minister will hold a rally in Karimpur, Nadia on 14 December. Thereafter, a rally will be organized in Kaliaganj soon. It is noteworthy that the Trinamool is very excited with the victory in all the three assembly seats in the by-elections. After the victory, the Chief Minister had said that this is a result of BJP's arrogance and a mandate against NRC.

It is also being noted that in Kharagpur seat, Pradip Sarkar of Trinamool won 20,811 votes, Vimalendu Singh won 24,119 votes in Karimpur seat and Pan Dev Singha in Kaliaganj by 2,304 votes. In the Lok Sabha elections, the BJP had given a big shock to the Trinamool by winning 18 of the 42 seats in the state, but in the assembly by-election, the Trinamool has indicated to retain its hold by winning all the three seats, which has given the party a boost.
